How high are the Costs for Austrian Patients, that fulfil all IVF Fonds Criteria?

Since January 1st 2000, couples undergoing IVF treatment only have to pay 30% of the costs themselves, 70% are balanced by the government (IVF Fonds). The criteria is a diagnosed infertility of either woman or man. Further, the woman must not have completed her 40th and the man his 50th birth year at the time of starting IVF treatment. Please look for further cost reduction criteria on the Austrian Federal Ministry for Women and Health website. One last important note: the corresponding diagnosis has to be made prior to starting IVF treatment - by a gynaecologist, a urologist or in our clinic.

Financial assistance is given for the following treatments: IVF, ICSI and Surgical Sperm Extraction.
70% of the necessary medication is also paid by the IVF Fonds.

Each couple is entitled to four attempts. If pregnancy is achieved (detection of heartbeat in the foetus) in one of the attempts, another four attempts are financed for every child.

Note that you will only receive payment if you are treated in an institute like ours, which has a contract with the IVF Fonds. At the same time, this contract equals a seal of approvement, since the contract is only drawn up with accredited institutes that take all necessary precautions to maintain top quality.

We balance our costs directly with the IVF Fonds so that you are spared the filling in of application forms.
