What are the Requirements?

If you decide to use medical treatment in fulfilling your desire to have children, the law states that you have to either be married or cohabit with your partner.
Only egg and sperm cells of the husband and wife or partners in life can be used for IVF treatment.
The only exception is Intrauterine Insemination. This method also allows the use of donor sperm, although only if the husband or partner is diagnosed infertile.
As a matter of principle, egg cells are only allowed to be transferred into the uterus of the woman, whose ovaries they were retrieved from earlier.
