If sperm cells are not motile enough or cannot reach the egg cell for another reason, we deposit washed sperm directly inside the uterine cavity or fallopian tubes, shortly before or after ovulation.

With this method, fertilisation takes place in the fallopian tubes the same way as after intercourse. That is why the fallopian tubes have to be patent and the sperm quality needs to be optimal. According to the individual situation, we may or may not supplement this method with hormonal treatment.
