Surgical Sperm Retrieval

If no mature, viable sperm cells can be found in the ejaculate, they can, in most cases, be extracted directly from the testis (TESA - Testicular Sperm Extraction), or from the epididymis (PESA - Percutaneous Sperm Aspiration) with the help of a small surgical intervention.
Then, with the help of the ICSI method, the sperm cells are united with the egg cell of the partner and, after fertilisation, transferred inside the uterine cavity.
